CMC has been conferred with 'Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Corporate Governance'. The company has been recognized as one of the top seven companies in India for adopting good corporate governance practices for second consecutive year by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

CMC is a Tata group firm and subsidiary of the country's top software company TCS. The company operates in four strategic business units namely customer services (CS), Systems Integration (SI), IT enabled Services (ITES) and Education and Training (E&T). The company has pan-India presence that caters to various sectors such as the railways, banks, government entities and other organisations with countrywide operations.

The company’s net profit after tax for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 under review rose by 38.15% at Rs 51.17 crore as compared to Rs 37.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Its revenue has increased by 17.93% to Rs 234.65 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 198.97 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
