Videocon Inds spurts on plans of raising $45.216 million through private placement

Videocon Industries is currently trading at Rs. 167.95, up by 9.20 points or 5.80 % from its previous closing of Rs. 158.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 160.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 177.20 and Rs. 160.35 respectively. So far 65507 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 211.05 on 10-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 154.95 on 16-Dec-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 160.40 and Rs. 154.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5399.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.83 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.67 % and 11.50 % respectively.

Videocon Industries has decided to raise $45.216 million through issue of securities to LLIC Sarl on a private placement basis. In this regard, the company will issue 15.7 million Global Depository Receipts (GDR) amounting to $45.216 million representing 15.7 million equity shares at a price of $2.88 per GDR, equivalent to around Rs 181.61 per equity share, to LLIC Sarl on a private placement basis.

Videocon Industries, established two decades ago, is a global conglomerate. Videocon’s businesses consist of manufacturing, marketing and distribution of consumer electronics products and oil & gas extraction.
