Zensar Technologies, an offshore outsourcing company, has seen a surge in its retail business with significant new wins in the SAP and Oracle application implementation and offshore support business. Zensar is also been engaged by Laura Ashley, a UK based fashion and home furnishings company to build and develop composite applications and business process management systems using Oracle Fusion Middleware (SOA and WebCenter). The company did not disclose any details of the business.
Zensar has been selected as a strategic development partner to one of the leading pharmacy retailer headquartered in UK having more than 1500 outlets. While as a strategic partner the relationship is expected to last for multiple years, the initial relationship kick starts with intention to improve the stock handling and stock visibility in their existing systems.
The company has also successfully expanded its presence in the USA with customers such as a leading direct seller of more than 300 gourmet kitchen gadgets, cookware, cookbooks, and foodstuffs for a global ERP Implementation project. Zensar has also been selected by a Global Online Retailer of travel related products for the deployment of the Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12).
Nirlife, a pharma division of Nirma Industries has selected Zensar to implement its SAP Pharma Solution to integrate all its operations. Zensar’s SAP Solution is currently deployed across leading Pharma Companies in India and across the globe. Zensar won this order against stiff competition from Global IT majors. Zensar’s SAP Pharma Solution is rated amongst the best in the industry and has a very significant market share in SAP’s India Pharmaceuticals Installations.
Zensar’s focus areas for the next two years will be Manufacturing, Retail, Insurance, Banking, Life Sciences, Media, Property Management and Utilities and the company expects Enterprise Applications as well as IT Infrastructure, Applications and Business Process Outsourcing to be the drivers of growth in each of these verticals.
