Siemens rises on announcement for better electrification of railways

Railway minister Dinesh Trivedi announced that Greater electrification of railways in coming years, 4500 kms electrified in 2012 and target of 6500 kms for 2013.

Siemens is currently trading at Rs. 812.50, up by 5.60 points or 0.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 806.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 818.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 819.00 and Rs. 809.20 respectively. So far 12802 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 951.00 on 26-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 627.05 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 819.00 and Rs. 782.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27599.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.60% and 13.40% respectively.

Siemens consolidates its innovative offerings in the Energy sector by combining its full range expertise in the areas of Power Generation (PG) and Power Transmission & Distribution (PTD).
