Bajaj Auto gains on launching new version of Duke range

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2832.00, up by 19.95 points or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 2812.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2812.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2843.20 and Rs. 2790.00 respectively. So far 4,320 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3122.00 on 09-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2173.40 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2843.20 and Rs. 2767.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 81,948.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.31%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.03% and 24.66% respectively.

Bajaj Auto, which owns 49% in the Austrian sports bike brand KTM, has unveiled the souped up version of its Duke range- the 390 Duke, 250 Duke and 200 Duke. While the KTM 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2.25 lakh, the KTM 250 Duke is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh and KTM 200 Duke is priced at Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Bajaj Auto has registered a fall of 18% in total sales to 2,41,917 units in January 2017 against 2,93,939 units in January 2016. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 16% and stood at 2,11,824 units in the month under review against 2,52,988 units in January 2016.
