Maruti Suzuki inks pact with Skill Development Ministry

Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) has inked an agreement with the Skill Development Ministry to impart training to youth and enhance their employment potential.

As part of the agreement with the Directorate General of Training (DGT) which comes under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, the company will ensure that not less than 80% of trainees are placed with Maruti Suzuki or its business partners. The automobile manufacturer will also ensure eligible trainees take up apprenticeship / higher education in suitable streams and shall also guide the students to become entrepreneurs.

Maruti Suzuki India (formerly known as Maruti Udyog) is the country’s largest carmaker. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
