Kingfisher Airlines down on buzz of losing its flying license

Kingfisher Airlines is currently trading at Rs 15.19, down by 0.09 points or 0.59% from its previous closing of Rs 15.28 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at day’s low of Rs 16.00 and has touched a high of Rs 14.75 respectively. So far 3615963 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 30.90 on 07-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 7.01 on 13-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 16.55 and Rs 14.61 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1218.75 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.83% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.61% and 48.56% respectively.

Kingfisher Airlines, which has been grounded since October, is reportedly set to lose its flying license on Monday. In an effort to renew its operating license before it expires at the end of the year, grounded carrier Kingfisher Airlines has filed a revival plan with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on December 24, 2012.  However, according to the Aviation Minister Ajit Singh - Kingfisher Airlines, owned by liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya, was unable to present a clear funding plan to regulators to get it flying again.
