Ashok Leyland, Power Grid Corporation of India and Apollo Tyres to see some action today

Ashok Leyland has bagged orders from major fleets for 1,400 school buses in the UAE, the company's largest ever supply of school buses in this country. The total fleet deal for the GCC-made buses has been bagged by Chennai-based Ashok Leyland's UAE distribution partners, Swaidan Trading - Al Naboodah Group.

Power Grid Corporation of India has been declared as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding to establish Inter-State transmission system for System Strengthening Scheme for Eastern and North Eastern Regions on build, own operate and transfer (BOOT) basis. The Letter of Intent (LoI) dated August 30, 2022 has been issued to Power Grid Corporation of India. The project comprises upgradation of 132kV substation to 220kV substation, establishment of 220kV DIC Transmission lines and bays extension works in the States of Bihar, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Apollo Tyres has introduced 5 new truck-bus radial tyres for the Indian market. These new products are a mix of steer, drive and all-wheel fitment tyres, and have been introduced to enhance customers’ operational productivity and offer the best in technology. The tyres have been extensively tested in real world applications across the country, before being introduced.

Infosys has divested its entire holding in Trifacta Inc for $12.0 million. The transaction was completed on August 29, 2022. The company had made minority investment of $10.0 million during 2016-2019, in Trifacta Inc, a data engineering software company headquartered in San Francisco, USA

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) and Disney Star have entered into a strategic licensing agreement by way of which Disney Star will license the television broadcasting rights of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Men's and Under 19 (U-19) global events for a period of four years, to ZEE. Disney Star will continue to be the exclusive home for streaming of all ICC tournaments through its digital platform - Disney+ Hotstar. ICC has in-principle approved this arrangement.

Lloyds Metals and Energy has received an Environmental Clearance (EC) for its proposal to install a Sponge Iron Plant of Capacity 190 TPD (75,000 MTPA), Captive Power Plant (4MW WHRB) and 90,000 TPA Iron ore Beneficiation Plant at Konsari, Gadhchiroli District in Maharashtra. The company hopes to commence trials for the Sponge Iron Plant & WHRB by March 2023.
