BHEL, KPI Green Energy and Spandana Sphoorty Financial to see some action today

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has won a prestigious order for the Electro-Mechanical (E&M) works of the country’s largest capacity hydropower project of 2,880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The order for the 12x240 MW project located in Roing in the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh, has been placed on the company by NHPC. 

KPI Green Energy has received new order for executing solar power project of 9 MW capacity from M/s Gujarat Polyfilms under ‘Captive Power Producer (CPP)’ Segment of the Company. The project is scheduled to be completed in the financial year 2023-24, in various tranches as per the terms of the order.

Spandana Sphoorty Financial has raised Rs 30 crore through the allotment of 3,000 Senior, Secured, Rated, Listed, Redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) having face value of Rs 1,00,000 each, issued through Disclosure Document dated September 01, 2023. The Management Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company vide its resolution dated September 4, 2023, has approved and allotted the same.   

PVR INOX has opened its premium ICE THEATERS auditorium in its 12-screen Superplex at Forum South Bengaluru, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru. This is the third ICE THEATERS auditorium in the country after launching the first two in Delhi and Gurugram. 

Bank of Baroda has enabled CBDC UPI QR Interoperability functionality for pilot users on the Bank of Baroda Digital Rupee app. The launch of this feature will pave the way for seamless transactions between a customer and merchant. For customers, it provides ease and convenience to use the Bank of Baroda Digital Rupee app to scan any UPI QR at a merchant outlet and transact. Merchants can now accept digital rupee [CBDC-R] payments from customers using their existing QR payment acceptance terminal, without being onboarded as a CBDC merchant.

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (Mahindra Finance) has reported overall disbursement at around Rs 4,400 crore delivering a 15% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth in August 2023. The YTD August 2023 disbursements at around Rs 20,950 crore registered a growth of 22% Y-o-Y.

The Board of Directors of Hero MotoCorp (HMCL) at its meeting held on September 4, 2023 has approved an investment of up to Rs 550 crore, in the Rights issue of Ather Energy Private. The investment is subject to the execution of definitive documents and completion of certain conditions customary to a transaction of this nature. Ather, an existing Associate company of Hero MotoCorp, is engaged in the business of designing, manufacturing, selling, servicing electric two wheelers.
