SBI rises on getting nod from ECCB to acquire 20% stake in SBI Pension Funds

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 610.90, up by 2.50 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 608.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 612.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 613.75 and Rs. 608.75 respectively. So far 548728 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 629.65 on 15-Dec-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 499.35 on 01-Feb-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 613.75 and Rs. 563.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 546409.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.49%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.11% and 7.40% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) has received final approval from Executive Committee of the Central Board (ECCB) to acquire 20% stake in SBI Pension Funds (SBIPFPL) from SBI Capital Markets (SBICAPS). The acquisition will be completed by December 15, 2023. Cost of acquisition will be Rs 229.52 crore. 

State Bank of India is the country’s largest lender and it offers a wide range of services in the Personal Banking, Agriculture/ Rural, NRI services, SME and Corporate Banking etc.
