Axis Bank bags 'Bank of the Year - India' award

Axis Bank, India's third largest private bank has bagged 'Bank of the Year - India' award, which is regarded as a industry standard for banking excellence from the UK based magazine 'The Banker' at The Banker Awards-2011 Ceremony held on November 30,2011. The selection was based on an institution's ability to deliver shareholder returns. 

Executive Director, Corporate Banking, Axis Bank, V Srinivasan received the award, at the ceremony held in London. The Banker Awards-2011 function was attended by senior bankers from over 130 countries.

Axis Bank, the third largest private sector bank in India offers the entire spectrum of services to customer segments covering large and mid-Corporates, SME, agriculture and retail businesses. With its 1,446 branches (including extension counters) and 7,594 ATMs across the country, as on September 30, 2011, the network of Axis Bank spreads across 953 cities and towns, enabling the Bank to reach out to a large cross-section of customers with an array of products and services.
