Bajaj Auto gains despite reporting 31% decline in June sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2855.85, up by 13.45 points or 0.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 2842.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2869.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2886.00 and Rs. 2838.05 respectively. So far 12459 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3315.00 on 03-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1793.10 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2912.90 and Rs. 2815.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82635.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.66%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.70% and 23.64% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported 31 per cent decline in total sales to 278,097 units in June as against 404,624 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales fell 34 per cent to 151,189 units last month as compared to 229,225 units in June 2019. Total two-wheeler sales were down 27 per cent at 255,122 units as compared to 351,291 units in the year-ago month.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
