About NACL Industries Ltd

Nagarjuna Agrichem (NACL), a Nagarjuna Group company was established in 1994 with an investment of $7 million for producing Monocrotophos Technical. NACL has since grown substantially and now manufactures a comprehensive range of pesticide technicals, formulations and custom manufactured fine chemicals. All the manufactured products conform to international quality standards and specifications.

It has adequate capacities, state-of-the-art infrastructure, skilled experienced manpower and technical absorption capabilities. In fact, Custom Synthesis and manufacturing are one of NACL's inherent capabilities. The production lines are designed for a quick change over. It also has a Custom Synthesis and Toll Manufacturing Division, which caters to the requirements of reputed overseas customers.

NACL has one of the largest dealer network spread across India, with marketing and sales offices in addition to an extensive warehousing & logistics infrastructure to handle operations in 20 Indian states. NACL has tie-ups with large Indian agrochemical majors and MNCs for the domestic and export markets.

It operate one of the most modern and comprehensive Technical Agrochemical manufacturing plants, situated in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

NACL formulates its formulations in a modern formulation plant situated in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. This location is situated in the scenic rice growing area on India's east coast. This unit is one of the few to have in a single location, integrated multi-line facilities capable of producing a variety of pesticide formulations such as liquids, wettable powders and granules simultaneously. This unit has the formulation technology to produce dry flowables and water based emulsions.

NACL has an impressive range of branded formulations in the categories of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides. In addition to catering to the entire Indian subcontinent, it export both technicals and formulation-grade pesticides to some countries in Europe, Asia including the Middle East, Japan, USA, Australia and Africa.

R & D plays a critical role in Nagarjuna's activities in agribusiness. In recognition of this, Nagarjuna established Nagarjuna Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI) in 1995 to focus research on crop protection, crop production and crop improvement. NARDI was established on a 100 acre dedicated farm and staffed by nationally renowned scientists and other support staff. NARDI did have research collaboration with leading international institutes such as IRRI, ICRISAT, CIMMYT, ACRDC and ICAR. The Quality management facilities are equipped with modern analytical equipment such as GC-Mass, LC- Mass, GLC, HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer and etc.

In 2011 Nagarjuna Agrichem incorporated a new overseas subsidiary office in Australia in the name as "Nagarjuna Agrichem (Australia) Pty Ltd"

In 2012 Nagarjuna Agrichem launched State-of-the-Art R&D Center, Embarks on a significant market expansion drive.

Product range of the company includes:

Insecticides:

  • PROFENOFOS- The product is pale yellow liquid with garlic like odour. It is used in control of insects (particularly Lepidoptera) and mites on cotton, maize, sugar beet, soya beans, potators, vegetables, tobacco and other crops.
  • ACEPHATE- Pure product is crytals. M.p.88-90 deg.C. It controls many kinds of insects, e.g.aphids, thrips, lepidopterous larvae, sawflies, leafminers, leafhoppers, cutworms, etc. In fruit, vines, hops, olives, cotton , soybeans, peanuts, macadamia nuts, beet, brassicas, celery, beans, potatos, rice, tobacco, ornametals, forestry and other crops.
  • DICHLOROVOS- Colour liquid. Technical material is colour to amber liquid with an aromatic odour. It controls of household and public health insect pests e.g.flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, bedbugs, ants, etc., stored product pests in warehouses, storerooms, etc., flies and midges in animal houses, sciarid and phorid flies in mushrooms, sucking and chewing insects, and spider mites in a wide range of crops, including fruit, vines, vegetables, ornamentals, tea, rice, cotton, hops, glasshouse crops, etc. Also used as a veterinary anthelintic.
  • MONOCROTOPHOS- Control of broad spectrum of pests, including sucking, chewing and boring insects, and spider mites on cotton, citrus, olives, rice, maize, sorghum, sugarcane, sugar beet, peanuts, potatoes, soyabeans, vegetables, ornamentals and tobacco.

Fungicides:

  • PROPICONAZOLE- It is used as systemic foliar fungicide with a broad range of activity. On cereals, it controls diseases caused by Cochliobolus sativus, Erysiphe graminis, Leptosphaeria nodorum, Puccinia spp.Pyrenophora teres, Pyrenophora tritici-repentis, Rhynchosporium secalis, and Septoria spp. In banana, control of Mycosphaerella musicola and Mycosphaerella fijiensis var.difformis. Other uses are in turf against Sclerotinia homecarpa, Rhizoctonia Erysiiphe graminis. In rice against Rhizoctonia solani, Helminthosporium oryzae, and dirty panicle complex. In coffee against Cercosphora spp. In stone fruit against Monilinia spp.Podosphaera spp. Sphaerotheca spp. And Traneschella spp. In maize against Helminthosporium spp.
  • MYCLOBUTANIL

Herbicides:

  • PRETILACHLOR- Herbicide effective against main annual grasses, broad-leaved weeds and sedges in transplanted and seeded rice
