Pankaj Polymers Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) woven sacks, fabrics, sheets, disposable wares and other products, which find application in the packaging of cement, fertilizers, food grain, sugar, salt, chemicals, textile cones, and other commodities, glasses, trays, plates and other products made of polypropylene are used by fast food manufacturers, dairy and processed food Industries, self ending/dispensing machines, mineral water industries, and other users. The company’s polypropylene disposable wares comprise various plastic disposable containers, including ice-cream cups, tea/coffee glasses, fruit juice-soft drink glasses, tumblers, plates, lids, and trays. These containers are primarily used by fast food manufacturers, dairy industries, processed food industries, self vending/dispensing machines, mineral water industries, pharmaceutical industries, and detergent industries.

Two units for the manufacture of HDPE/PP woven sacks and fabrics are located at Nagpur in Maharashtra and Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh with an installed capacity of 6,695 MTPA. The PP disposable wares/containers unit is located at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh with an installed capacity of 1,901 MTPA.

The manufacturing operations at the Nagpur unit have been suspended as it was found to be increasingly unviable.

The company has already applied for closure or shifting of the unit with the appropriate authorities, the approval for which is yet to be received.
