NHPC has successfully restarted power generation at Sewa-II Power Station from February 21, 2022 with the synchronization of all three units with the grid. Earlier, Sewa-II Power Station (3 x 40 MW), Mashka (UT of J&K) was under complete shutdown with effect from September 25, 2020 due to damage of Head Race Tunnel (HRT).

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
