Tata Motors to launch Bolt and Zest

Date: 29-04-2014

Tata Motors is all set to launch Bolt hatchback and Zest compact sedan. Both the models which were showcased at the Auto Expo in February will be launched almost simultaneously with only a 'minor gap' in between. Through the two products, the company hopes to go back to minimum monthly volumes of 23,000 to 24,000 units versus 13,000 to 14,000 units it sells currently.

The company has realigned its network and refurbished 120 outlets with new brand identity, which would be completed by May. Another 120 outlets would undergo the same up-gradation process and would be completed by July.

Further, the company is planning to recruit 3,000 sales personnel in the run-up to the launch which will happen in the second quarter of this financial year. The appointed individuals will undergo ‘rigorous’ training to be able to meet the demand of every customer.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer.
