Wipro, India’s third largest IT bellwether has been selected as an IT partner for a multi-million dollar engagement with AstraZeneca, a leading global biopharmaceutical company. However, the deal size was not disclosed.
The company has been selected as one of four IT partners, after a six-month evaluation period, to enhance AstraZeneca’s end user computing infrastructure.
Wipro’s net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal declined by 10.37% at Rs 1050.6 crore as compared to Rs 1172.1 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company’s total income increased by 19.69% at Rs 8011.5 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 6693.7 crore for the second quarter of the previous year.
