ICICI Bank, the country's largest private sector lender has unveiled a platinum credit card ‘ICICI Bank Rubyx’ which has got dual benefits. The new cardholders will receive two cards - the ICICI Bank Rubyx American Express platinum credit card and the ICICI Bank Rubyx Mastercard platinum credit card. The growing affluent segment of customers who want premium privileges and rewards are the target customers for this card.
This new product provides card members the convenience of a single account and two credit cards that allow them to earn rewards through both American Express and MasterCard. The cards are linked to a single card account with a single statement and a single fee but will provide access to a host of services from American Express and MasterCard.
The bank’s net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011 of the current fiscal has grown 21.59% at Rs 1503.19 crore as compared to Rs 1236.27 crore for the corresponding quarter of the last year. The bank’s total income has surged 25.49% at Rs 9897.17 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 7887.03 crore for the second quarter of the previous year.
The banks’ gross NPA stood at 4.14% for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to 4.36% in the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Its net NPA also rose at 0.93% in Q2FY12 as compared to 1.04% in Q2FY11.
