-9.60 (-0.25%) Engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is planning to set up 2X800 MW super-critical thermal power plant in West Bengal. In this regard the company will invest Rs 11,000 crore.
The company will require land of about 1,200 acres and the site should have adequate water supply, coal linkages and rail-head. The state government had given three land options, the names which the company refused to reveal.
The company would sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) in line with West Bengal’s buying rate of power.
