BGR Energy Systems surrenders its Category - I Electricity Trading License

BGR Energy Systems has surrendered its Category - I (previously Category - F) electricity trading license obtained from Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). The CERC cancelled the said electricity trading license in its order dated April 29, 2011.

For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company has posted a surged of 61% in its net profit of Rs 324.20 crore as compared to Rs 201.02 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Its total income has increased from Rs 3093.95 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010 to Rs 4769.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011.

BGR Energy Systems is engaged in the business of engineering, procurement and construct (EPC) contracting and balance of plant (BOP) contracting for power sector in India.
