M&M advances on expanding its footprint in the United States

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is currently trading at Rs. 1111.75, up by 7.45 points or 0.67 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1104.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1102.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1126.45 and Rs. 1101.80 respectively. So far 61553 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1110.00 on 09-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 741.50 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1110.00 and Rs. 1050.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 68456.44 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.80% and 16.92% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, has inaugurated the Mahindra GenZe electric two-wheeler facility and the North American Technical Center in Southeast Michigan. The GenZe by Mahindra is the first urban transportation vehicle to be offered by the Mahindra Group and the only two-wheeled electric vehicle of its kind in the United States.

Mahindra GenZe selected Ann Arbor, Michigan for its manufacturing facility following a nationwide search.  This facility has the capacity to assemble up to 9,000 vehicles per year, with the ability to ramp up to 20,000 vehicles if needed.
