GAIL (India) Ltd.

GAIL (India) and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) had been bestowed the national award for excellence in corporate governance 2011 of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Both the companies have been awarded for excellence in corporate governance at a presentation ceremony in Hyderabad. This is considered among the most prestigious corporate governance awards in India.

The executive director of HUL and chairman and managing director of Gail (India) received the awards. The union minister for corporate affairs gave away the awards.

ICSI bestows this award every year to those it considers the two best governed companies in India, underlining its commitment to good corporate governance.

Gail (India) is India's flagship gas transmission and marketing company under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.

Hindustan Unilever is India's largest fast moving consumer goods company, with leadership in Home & Personal Care Products and Foods & Beverages.
