In a bid to meet increasing business requirements, Wipro is planning to expand its workforce at its development center at Shannon in Ireland. At present, the Bangalore-based company employs over 200 professionals and will increase the headcount by up to 50% over the next 12 months.

Wipro provides IT and business process services to marquee retail banking and insurance customers across Ireland and the UK from the Shannon development center. This center, which was inaugurated in 2012, is a regulated entity through the Central Bank of Ireland and complies with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA ) in the UK.
