Bharti Airtel is planning to offer 3G services to customers in Punjab through an intra-circle roaming agreement with Idea Cellular. This comes after Idea launched its high speed services in the circle on its own spectrum. Idea Cellular is the sole provider of 3G services in Punjab.

Bharti is also planning to cover 170 towns across the state with 1,800 3G cell sites by the end March 2015.
