M&M surges on reporting decent June sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is currently trading at Rs. 1206.20, up by 12.05 points or 1.01% from its previous closing of Rs. 1194.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1199.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1215.10 and Rs. 1185.55 respectively. So far 43388 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1268.75 on 02-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 741.50 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1215.10 and Rs. 1143.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 74322.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.29% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.80% and 16.92% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), leading SUV manufacturer, has reported sales numbers which stood at 38471 units during June 2014 against 38092 units in June, 2013. The company’s domestic sales surged by 1% stood at 36457 units during June 2014, as against 36207 units during June 2013. Exports surged by 38% for the month stood at 2014 units compared to 1885 unit in the same month previous year.
