Tata Starbucks, the 50/50 joint venture between Tata Global Beverages and Starbucks Coffee, has opened its first store in Chennai, taking the total number of company’s outlets in the country to 50. The company, which now has stores operational across five cities, will continue to open more stores and thoughtfully grow in the market. The company will foray into Hyderabad later this year.

Tata Global Beverages, formerly known as Tata Tea, is a multinational non-alcoholic Beverages Company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India and a subsidiary of the Tata Group. It is the world's second-largest manufacturer and distributor of tea. Tata Global Beverages markets tea under the major brands Tata Tea, Tetley, Good Earth Teas and JEMCA.
