Unichem Laboratories declines on reporting 16% fall in Q1 net profit

Unichem Laboratories is currently trading at Rs. 188.25, down by 7.35 points or 3.76 % from its previous closing of Rs. 195.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 195.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 196.00 and Rs. 187.00 respectively. So far 9372 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 241.45 on 04-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 138.00 on 07-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 231.50 and Rs. 187.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1711.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.20% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.69% and 34.11% respectively.

Unichem Laboratories has reported a fall of 16.34% in its net profit at Rs 30.20 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 36.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income from operations of the company has increased by 9.57% at Rs 290.99 crore for Q1FY15 as compared Rs 265.58 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Unichem Laboratories is engaged in manufacturing formulations, pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
