National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has set up a centre for innovation and research and development in New Delhi. The company has set up the said R&D centre in order to effectively address some demanding issues related to construction such as adoption of new technology, eco-friendly green building materials for sustainable, safe, faster, cost effective and quality construction.

The new centre would exclusively work in mitigation of building collapse problems emphasizing upon innovation, sustainable development, safety and productivity. Moreover, the company has made an initial allocation of Rs 2 crore for the purpose.

National Buildings Construction Corporation is one of the few public sector companies engaged in the business of project management consultancy services for civil construction projects (PMC), civil infrastructure for power sector and real estate development.
