HDFC Bank gains on reporting 21% rise in Q1 net profit

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 839.20, up by 6.75 points or 0.81 % from its previous closing of Rs. 832.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 840.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 846.65 and Rs. 834.50 respectively. So far 210412 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 861.00 on 07-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 528.00 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 840.00 and Rs. 808.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 202334.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 22.56 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 43.98 % and 16.56 % respectively.

HDFC Bank’s net profit for the quarter rose by 21.11% at Rs 2233.04 crore as compared to Rs 1843.86 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2014. Its total income has increased by 12.79% to Rs 13070.65 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 11588.56 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The bank’s gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal stood at 1.10%, as compared to 1.00% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA stood at 0.03% in Q1FY15
