Bharti Airtel has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company’s net profit from ordinary activities after tax for the quarter surged 125.32% at Rs 2160.40 crore as compared to Rs 958.80 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 12.16% to Rs 13804.10 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 12307.40 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the Group has reported 60.90% rise in its net profit after taxes & Minority interest at Rs 1108.50 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 688.90 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 13.33% at Rs 23005.50 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 20299.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.
