ITC plans to add 3,000 rooms in next two to three years
Date: 31-07-2014ITC, the second biggest hospitality chain in the country with 100 hotels in 70 locations, is planning to add 3,000 rooms in eight new hotels over the next 2 to 3 years. Further, the company is also planning to open its first overseas hotel in Colombo in Sri Lanka.
Recently, the company had reported 15.60% growth in Q1FY15 net profit of Rs 2186.39 crore as against Rs 1891.33 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year
ITC, a diversified conglomerate has business interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
