Eicher Motors gains as its JV firm VE Commercial reports 6% rise in July sales

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 8525.00, up by 46.05 points or 0.54% from its previous closing of Rs. 8478.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 8465.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 8638.00 and Rs. 8427.45 respectively. So far 1249 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 8768.20 on 21-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2975.00 on 21-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 8700.00 and Rs. 8347.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23029.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.01% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.81% and 20.18% respectively.

Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture firm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported rise of 6.06% in total sales of Eicher branded products to 3341 units in July 2014. The company had sold 3150 units in the same month of the previous year.

In the company’s domestic CV market (5T and above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 2955 units in July 2014 as compared to 2915 units in the year-ago period, up by 1.37%.

On the exports front, Eicher trucks and buses recorded sales of 386 units in July 2014 as compared to 235 units in the same month of the previous year, representing a growth of 64.25%.
