Bharti Airtel rings loud on reporting 61% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 381.55, up by 8.95 points or 2.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 372.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 372.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 386.80 and Rs. 370.00 respectively. So far 314817 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A ' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 386.80 on 1-Aug-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 279.25 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 386.80 and Rs. 351.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 153040.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.90% and 9.72% respectively.

Bharti Airtel’s net profit from ordinary activities after tax for the quarter surged 125.32% at Rs 2160.40 crore as compared to Rs 958.80 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 12.16% to Rs 13804.10 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 12307.40 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the Group has reported 60.90% rise in its net profit after taxes & Minority interest at Rs 1108.50 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 688.90 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 13.33% at Rs 23005.50 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 20299.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.
