Jaiprakash Associates reports net loss of Rs 80.61 crore in Q1

Jaiprakash Associates has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 80.61 crore as compared to a net profit of Rs 334.51 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has decreased by 9.26% to Rs 3041.56 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 3351.93 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Jaypee Group is the country’s third largest cement maker. Swiss major Holcim owns majority stake in both ACC and Ambuja Cement with a combined capacity of around 52 mtpa in India.
