8.70 (0.83%) State Bank of India (SBI), the nation’s biggest lender has launched a Hindi version of its mobile application 'State Bank Anywhere'. With the help of this application the customer can enquire regarding its account details including loan/ transactions/PPF/deposit. Besides, customer can make fund transfers within and outside bank, including NEFT, credit cards (Visa) payments, IMPS transfer, creation of fixed and recurring deposits, among many other things.
After receiving a pleasing response from the English version of this application, the bank decided to launch it in Hindi as well. The bank had introduced the English version in March 2014, since March the application has been downloaded by millions of customers.
State Bank of India’s net profit for first quarter ended June 30, 2014 rose by 3.33% at Rs 3349.08 crore as compared to Rs 3241.08 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 12.56% to Rs 40739.21 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 36192.62 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
