Idea Cellular rings loud on the bourses

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs. 155.95, up by 0.35 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 155.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 156.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 157.15 and Rs. 155.20 respectively. So far 43419 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 188.35 on 15-Oct-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 125.10 on 28-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 163.00 and Rs. 154.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 56135.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.91% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.44% and 30.65% respectively.

Idea Cellular, one of the biggest cellular carrier of the country, has launched a mobile wallet service ‘Idea Money’ which allows customers to conduct transactions like prepaid mobile recharges, DTH recharges, utility bill payments and money transfers. The company also plans to introduce payment for shopping and ticketing transactions later.

Idea Money is a semi-closed prepaid payment instrument offered by Idea Mobile Commerce Services (IMCSL), which has got a licence from Reserve Bank of India to offer this service. The service was launched in Mumbai in July and it will be expanded in a phased manner across the country.

Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level, it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
