Sakthi Sugars terminates PPA, EPA entered with TANGEDCO

Sakthi Sugars has terminated the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Energy Purchase Agreements (EPA) entered with Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO). The agreement was for supply of power generated by the company at its co-generation units at Sakthinagar, Sivaganga and Modakurichi. This termination is made to facilitate the company to sell power to third parties / captive users.

Sakthi Sugars is one of the largest producers of sugar in India with a capacity of over 13,500 tonnes of cane crushing per day. It has units / plants in the states of Tamil Nadu and Orissa.
