Just In: Retail inflation cools off to 7.80% in August

Much in line with expectation, the consumer price index (CPI)-based inflation cooled off at 7.80% in August as compared to 7.96% in July. The General Indices for rural, urban and combined for the month under review stood at 146.7, 143.0 and 145.1, respectively.
