Physical rubber prices improved on Thursday

Physical rubber prices improved marginally on Thursday. The market opened steady but improved later on covering purchases though there were no fresh enquiries from the tyre sector.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety improved to Rs 125.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 125/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 116.50/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 116/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of October delivery slipped to Rs 121.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 121.73, while November delivery closed at Rs 121.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 121.75 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
