Berger Paints to invest Rs 210 crore to hike capacity
Date: 17-09-2010Berger paints will invest Rs 150 crore on the new plant. In addition to this, it has earmarked an investment of Rs 60 crore on expanding existing facilities to take its total production capacity to 4.5 lakh tonnes by 2012.The new plant will be operational within the next two years and will be having total production capacity of 1.5 lakh tonnes of paint annually.
At present, the company has seven facilities across the country and has a total capacity to produce 2.5 lakh tonnes of paint. By the end of this fiscal, the company will add another 50,000 tonnes. The company, which has an annual turnover of around Rs 2,000 crore, is looking at a growth of 20 per cent this fiscal.crackcrack
