Reliance Power terminates discussion for acquisition of JPVL’s Hydro portfolio

Reliance Power has terminated discussion with Jaiprakash Power Ventures (JPVL) regarding acquisition of JPVL’s Hydro portfolio of 3 projects, with an aggregate capacity of 1,791 MWs. The company has taken this step due to prevailing regulatory uncertainties, and tariff issues, which impacts valuations.
