Oswal to invest Rs 5,000 cr to set up fertiliser plant in AP

Oswal Chemicals and Fertilisers Limited is planning to set up a gas-based fertiliser manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs 5,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh. Company plans to set up a 1.2 million tonne per annum fertiliser manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs 5,000 crore. The plant would employ about 1,000 skilled and un-skilled personnel once the operations start.

 

The company has also proposed to set up a one-million tonne capacity di-ammonium phosphate plant with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore and a 100 MW-capacity power plant using surplus steam from the urea manufacturing facility. The power plant would also use coal as a supplement. The Oswal group has control over coal mines in Indonesia with over 100 million tonnes of reserves.
