ICRISAT inks agreement to set up agriculture theme park

International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) has inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Ramoji Film City for setting up an agriculture theme park at the film city. The agreement is on sustainable management of water resources and agricultural development. The theme park will highlight the importance of agriculture in dryland areas as well as irrigated farming systems.

The crop research institute would provide technical support for planning the park and develop the plan to be undertaken in a phased manner, to address various facets of science and agriculture through the park.

ICRISAT and Ramoji Film City would collaborate to develop sites of learning for farmers as well as by sharing the experiences and providing technical guidance through a multi-disciplinary team of scientists.
