Top Story – Kansai Nerolac draws up Rs 600 cr capex, appoints SRK brand ambassador

Kansai Nerolac Paints (KNPL) plans to invest Rs 600 crore to enhance its production capacity by 50 per cent over the next three years. The company is planning for a price hike post October.

The company has also appointed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as brand ambassador for promoting its eco-friendly paints. The company currently has 100 colour stylers and 25 impression style zone outlets and is planning to add nearly 150 and 40 more.

KNPL holds a 12% market share in the decorative paints segment and is looking at an 18-20% growth during FY11.
