Areva T&D bags Rs130 crore contract

Areva T&D India has bagged a Rs 130-crore eBOP (electrical Balance of Plant) contract for the 600 MW Warora thermal power plant being set by the GMR Group in Maharashtra. This contract entails the supply and installation of eBOP solutions for the thermal power plant coming up in the Warora taluka of Chandrapur district.

 

The power project would be set up in two phases of 300 MW each. The GMR Warora project contract is the fourth such e-BoP contract for ArevaT&D India in the last two years. Under the contract, Areva will manufacture and install a 400/220 kV Air-insulated Substation, as well as power and distribution transformers and switchgear equipment.
