Shriram Transport Finance Company (STFCL) has won the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) award for financial reporting. The company has been adjudged the winner of the ‘ICAI Awards for Financial Reporting’ under category five financial services sector other than banking and insurance.

The award was handed over to STFCL at a glittering event in Chennai and was selected by a panel of judges on review of accounting practices adopted by the company in preparing financial statements and other information in annual reports.

STFCL is the flagship company of the Chennai based Shriram Group and is classified as deposit taking asset finance NBFC, with an objective to provide hire purchase and lease finance for the medium and heavy commercial vehicles to individual truck operators. It is the largest asset financing NBFC in India concentrated mainly in pre-owned vehicle financing business.
