Britannia Industries has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

The company has posted over two fold jump in its net profit at Rs 253.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 95.68 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 13.72% at Rs 1835.93 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1614.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

On consolidated basis, the company’s net profit after taxes and minority interest for the quarter under review registered 177% growth at Rs 270.46 crore against Rs 97.64 crore in the September quarter of previous fiscal. The company’s total income has increased by 13.24% at Rs 1992.93 crore for the quarter from Rs 1759.84 crore in the similar quarter of previous year.
