ONGC reports 10% fall in Q2 net profit

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

The company has posted a fall of 10.21% in its net profit at Rs 5444.89 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 6063.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has decreased by 8.74% at Rs 21808.64 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 23897.64 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

ONGC is an Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, India. It is India’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company. It produces around 69% of India's crude oil (equivalent to around 30% of the country's total demand) and around 62% of its natural gas.
