Larsen and Toubro (L&T) was honoured with NDTV Profit’s Business Leadership award affirming the company’s stature in building infrastructure. The award ceremony was held in Mumbai on January 07, 2012. The award was handed over by Union Finance Minister to the company.

The NDTV Profit Business Leadership awards were instituted to recognize organisational excellence. The awards acknowledge India’s most dynamic organisations that have emerged leaders in their respective fields and are leading India in its quest to become an economic superpower.

Last year in November, L&T was ranked second in India and 12th among all BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) countries in a carbon ranking study conducted by the UK based, not for profit organization, environment investment organization (EIO), and published recently.

L&T is an $11.7 billion technology, engineering and construction group, with global operations. It is one of the largest and most respected companies in India’s private sector.
