Date: 23-01-2012Idea Cellular has reported results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2011.
The company has posted a fall of 26.31% in its net profit after tax of Rs 162.89 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 221.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income has increased by 20.89% from Rs 3929.05 crore for Q3FY11 to Rs 4966.45 crore in the quarter under review.
On the consolidated basis the group has posted a net profit decline of 17.31% to Rs 200.98 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 243.05 crore in the same quarter last year. Total Income of the company improved by 27.18% to Rs 5030.82 crore for the quarter compared to Rs 3955.61 crore in the quarter, year ago.
